Why are agricultural production, industrial production, consumption, business investment, banking industry health, and worldwide economies important to understanding U.S. recessions?

Agricultural production, industrial production, consumption, business investment, banking industry health are all important because they contribute to U.S. recessions by either increasing or decreasing economic activity in various sectors of the economy such as manufacturing or agriculture for example which can increase or decrease overall GDP growth depending on how much each sector contributes to GDP growth on average over time (i.e., if one sector grows faster than another on average over time this will cause overall GDP growth to be higher than if both sectors grew at an equal rate). Worldwide economies are also important because they become increasingly intertwined with each other through trade agreements like NAFTA for example which means that when one country's economy suffers from a recession its trading partners' economies may suffer from a recession as well so it becomes increasingly difficult to isolate what causes what anymore which makes predicting future global economic trends more difficult but also more interesting at least in my opinion anyway lol :P

How do economists and historians dispute certain 19th century recessions?

Economists and historians dispute whether or not a few of these 19th century recessions actually happened.
